Founded in 1940
The LeRoy Historical Society is a not-for-profit educational institution dedicated to the collection, preservation,
research, exhibition and interpretation of artifacts and archival material related to LeRoy and LeRoy House for the
purpose of developing a community resource and a public awareness of LeRoy’s unique history.
The Historical Society maintains the Historic LeRoy House and the Academic Building which includes permanent
exhibits “There’s Always Room for Jell-O” and “On the Road – ACentury of Ruts, Dust and Macadam” – the story
of -land travel in the 19th century.
The Historical Society also maintains the Blaisdale Boyd Research library and the Dr. Burton Spiller Archives.
Membership to the Historical Society helps support the educational programs that are offered to the LeRoy Central
