Village Municipal Services
le roy - Stafford Senior CitiZenS:
Residents who are 60 years of age and older are eligible to partake of the activities of this program. These are supported by
the Village of Le Roy and the Towns of Le Roy and Stafford. Activities include Arts and Crafts at the Presbyterian Church
on Mondays at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday is free bowling at the American Legion Lanes. During the summer, golfing is available at
the Le Roy Country Club at a reduced rate. The third Wednesday of every month, a Tureen dinner is held at the Presbyterian
Church with entertainment following. At various times during the year, bus trips are conducted.
SeWer BillingS:
Sewer bills are mailed quarterly: Feb. 5th, May 5th, Aug. 5th and Nov. 5th. Payment of bills may be made at the Village Hall
during business hours. Payment may also be made at Five Star Bank and The Bank of Castile. Sewer rents are comprised of
two components: User charge and Operation and Maintenance (O&M). User charge of $33.00 shall be levied on all users of
the Sanitary Sewer System. Each dwelling unit occupied or unoccupied, each business in a commercial district, occupied or
unoccupied, each separate use within a commercial building in any zone shall be based on usage. The current rate of O&M
is $5.81 for 1000 gallons in excess of 3000 gallons. O&M is based on actual usage taken from the previous quarters reading.
If sewer bills are not paid within 30 days from the billing date, a 10% fee is added. Sewer bills that are one quarter or more
in arrears on May 1, will be added to the tax roll for collection. This becomes a part of the tax and partial payment cannot
be made. When a customer requests service be disconnected, a final reading is obtained by calling the Village Office two to
three days before a reading is required. After the reading is obtained, a final bill is prepared and payment of this and any other
outstanding bills closes the account.
Sanitary SeWer proBlemS:
Should any Village residence experience a problem with their sanitary sewer, the following action by the homeowner is sug-
gested: Contact a qualified contractor. If the problem is determined to be in the house service lateral between the sewer main
and the home, the responsibility for repair is the homeowners.
parKing in driveWayS:
The Village has enacted a Local Law which regulates the width of driveways and denies the use of front yards for parking.

property taXeS:
Village taxes are levied on June 1, and collected without penalty through July 1. A late charge of 5% will be added to taxes
paid between July 2 and August 1. An additional 1% per month is collected until November 1, when all unpaid taxes are
returned to the County Treasurer for collection. Taxes are collected at the Village Hall during regular business hours as well
as Five Star Bank and The Bank of Castile.

either calling or coming into Village Office, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Winter overnight parKing hourS:
During the period from November 1 to April 1, parking is restricted on Village Streets from 2:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. Violators
will be ticketed and subject to fine for non-payment and vehicle may be towed away.

The Village Office located in the Village Hall is open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The offices are
closed for all posted legal holidays.
