TOWN MUNICIPAL SERVICES GUIDE
le roy reCreation:
A variety of recreation opportunities are available for Le Roy youth over the summer. It includes our Summer Concert Series,
supervised summer playgrounds, pool, field trips, camps and more. Information is distributed through a seasonal brochure with
additional announcements in the
Le Roy Pennysaver.
The following facilities are operated for resident use during appropriate
weather, from dawn to dusk. Alcohol is not permitted on municipal property. Please call for reservation information for Town &
Village Parks, Village at 768-2527 - Town at 768-6910, Ext. 229 (Bunnell Park reservations).
parK & reCreation Board:
Le Roy Recreation is guided by a five member citizen's advisory board. Five members are appointed by the Village and Town
Boards. Meetings are at Town Hall as scheduled by committee, public is welcome. Appointed members are: Anne Fox, Michele
Bonacquisti, Mark Johnson, Mike Risewick and Sue Stella.
Senior CitiZen programS:
The Le Roy-Stafford Senior Citizens is a social organization for Le Roy and Stafford residents age 60 and over. The municipalities
of the Towns of Le Roy and Stafford and the Village of Le Roy contribute toward the activities of the organization. A twelve-member
committee plans monthly programs and day trips. Catherine M. Stone is the Director of the group and can be reached at 768-2055.
3rd Wednesday meeting and potluck -
provide your own place setting and a generous dish to pass and join us monthly at the Knights
of Columbus, Le Roy, for a 6:00 p.m. potluck supper. There is a $3.00 charge without a dish to pass. You will be informed of upcoming
events, including day trips, an October to April bowling program, a May to October golf program and more. After dinner entertain-
ment is provided in the way of musical programs and occasionally a speaker on pertinent programs of interest to the seniors.
toWn JuStiCe Court:
Town Court is held on the third and fourth Monday each month at 1:00 p.m. in the Courtroom at 48 Main Street for Traffic
Violations. Criminal Matters are held on the first and second Wednesday each month at 1:00 p.m. Small Claims court is held
on the third Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. each month with Judge Sehm and third Thursday each month at 7:00 p.m. with Judge Ar-
rington. Regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Phone number is 768-6910 ext 234 or 236.
tranSfer Station:
Location is Circular Hill Road and the hours of operation are Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admittance by Punch Card
only which is obtained in the Town Clerk's office during regular business hours. Punch cards are $27.00 with 12 punches. There-
fore, each bag of garbage is one punch on your card which is $2.25/30 gal. trash bag. Also available is free recycling for Le Roy
residents. Follow the guidelines on the handout at the Clerk's office to be eligible. We also have a location for disposal of metal
products and yard waste. Roll off container is also available for large oversized items and is charged through the punch card.
taX ColleCtion:
Town and County taxes are collected for the current year and are from January 1st through March 31st of that year. They are mailed out
on the 31st of December generally & are due in the Town Clerk's office without penalty through January 31st. Penalties are as follows:
1% for February and 2% for March. Taxes are to be paid at the Clerk's office at 48 Main Street, Le Roy, NY - 768-6910 ext. 224.
liCenSeS:
Dog Licenses, Marriage Licenses, Hunting and Fishing Licenses are issued in the Town Clerk's office during regular business hours
8:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Bunnell parK:
Located on Summit Street Road is available for reservations. Facilities include: picnic pavilion, restrooms and NBA official
basketball court. Date reservations can be arranged at the Town Clerk's office, 768-6910 ext. 229.
